Hier, j’ai reçu un message de @jamaaldrisc_ de Birmingham, et cela m’a rempli de joie. Il a réalisé un workshop avec le Candoco CreativeLab en février dernier avec un jeune public à l’école de théâtre Mountview Peckham au sud de Londres, pour partager autour de sa pratique personnelle du Breaking, et mettre à l'honneur la riche influence de la culture, du patrimoine et des traditions du hip-hop. À cette occasion, Jamaal a présenté mon travail photographique pour nourrir l’imagination de son public et créer un espace d’échange, avec lequel ils ont ensuite réalisé un travail créatif avec les impressions. Grâce aux contributions des participants et au soutien de l'équipe pédagogique, cet événement a donné lieu à des échanges positifs et stimulants, mettant en avant la créativité, l'esprit communautaire et l'épanouissement mutuel. C’est un réel plaisir de voir mon travail devenir un outil de transmission, qui fait sens avec ce pourquoi je documente les jams de Breaking. Et c’est un honneur pour moi de voir un danseur talentueux y voir un intérêt pour son travail pédagogique. Merci Jamaal. Merci @ro.ci.cha pour le témoignage photographique.

Yesterday, I received a message from @jamaaldrisc_ from Birmingham, and it made me very happy. Last February, he led a workshop with the Candoco CreativeLab for a young audience at Mountview Peckham Theatre School in south London, to share his personal approach of Breaking and to celebrate the rich influence of hip-hop culture, heritage and traditions. On this occasion, Jamaal presented my photographic work to spark the imagination of his audience and create a space for exchange, which they then used to produce creative work based on the prints. With contributions from the participants and the support of the teaching team, this event led to positive and stimulating exchanges, highlighting creativity, community spirit and mutual fulfilment. It is a real pleasure to see my work become a tool for sharing knowledge, which aligns perfectly with why I document Breaking jams.
